Abstract Paintings

I saw your shadow begin to cast upon me
My radiant light too strong to hide
You created a mystery in the darkness
A balance of light and shadow
But your darkness grew
While it passed by me in such an elegant way
You concealed my flaws
And hid my secrets
You covered me with warmth and excitement
Your axsis began to shift
You slowly pulled away and passed on by
Eventually my light came back
With more intensity than before
I glowed and released my energy
We had a memorable experience
But I didn't need you
I only needed me

I see you in my reflection
I feel you in the crisp air
I hear you in the crashing waves of the ocean at night
I know you're with me always
But you aren't here any longer
I can't feel your embrace
I can't look into your warm eyes
Or hear your reassuring voice
My dearest, where have you gone?
